Dubai, UAE, 1 October 2019: Teams, competitors, vendors, championship managers and key stakeholders from the world of motorsport are set to assemble at Dubai Autodrome on Friday (4 October) for the fourth edition of the Emirates Motorsport Expo (EME), with exhibits and activities open to the public from 15.00 to 22.00.
The event is held in collaboration with the Emirates Motorsport Organization (EMSO) and key speakers from EMSO will address the media on-site to formally announce the new season.
The event will feature exhibitors representing all disciplines of motor racing available in the region, including go-karts, cars and motorbikes for both circuit and off-road racing.
Race Paddock Entertainment
Even for those not interested in starting a career in racing, the EME will offer a range of attractions to see and do. In addition to car displays, food trucks and sim racing in the race paddock, visitors will be able to book Dubai Autodrome motorsport activities on track, including the Porsche GT4 Experience, the McLaren Sprint Experience, the Ferrari GT Experience, the Clio Cup Experience and Passenger Hot Laps.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) will bring an exciting line up of vehicles for its participation at the expo, with seven brands represented along with their local partners including Alfa Romeo (Gargash Motors), Fiat and Abarth (National Auto), Jeep, Dodge, Ram (Trading Enterprises) and Mopar.
On display will be the special edition Alfa Romeo NRING, which celebrates two Nürburgring records, the Ram 1500 Limited, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and the Wrangler Sahara 1skytouch, plus ‘Moparised’ versions of the Ram 1500 Big Horn and the Jeep Wrangler.
Thrill seekers can also enjoy a heart-pounding ‘Drift Taxi’ experience in the Dodge Charger, Challenger and the Durango as part of the recently announced ‘Dodge Muscle Experience’, available throughout the year at the Dubai Autodrome.
The event has been expanded to offer a host of other auto industry related activities, including manufacture test drives. FCA will provide guests the opportunity to test drive the Abarth 595 Competizione, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio on track.
Power Hour Challenge
The popular Power Hour Challenge is set to return to the expo, starting at 17.00 on the day; it will allow spectators to get to up-close to a unique selection of race cars in action. A variety of rally legends, historic F1 cars, drift cars, classics, drag cars and super cars will each get a lap to strut their wheels on track for the crowds.
Dakar On Your Doorstep
Brand new to the EME this year will be a special off-road section called “Dakar On Your Doorstep”, created by Dakar veterans Sabertooth Motoring Adventure, which will feature Nasser Al-Attiyah’s 2017 Toyota Overdrive, a Dragon Energy Nissan Navara, a Dragon Energy Herrador Buggy and a wide range of desert support vehicles including a Mercedes Benz 6×6 Assistance Truck. Actual Dakar Rally crew will be on-hand to chat with visitors.
Emirates Motorsport Expo gates open at 15:00 and entry is free to the public. Stands, displays and food trucks will fill the race paddock and hospitality areas at Dubai Autodrome, and the expo will continue throughout the afternoon and evening until 22:00.
