Dubai, UAE, 13 October 2020: Dubai racers Jordan Grogor, Frederic Fatien, Mathieu Jaminet and Robert Renauer claimed victory for GPX Racing in the new Coppa Florio 12H in Sicily, Italy on Sunday (11 October).
The GPX Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R (#36) dominated both parts of the twelve-hour endurance race at Autodromo di Pergusa from beginning to end, powering from the second row on the grid to take the lead early on, breaking away from the pack and sealing the deal with an impressive five lap triumph over the Mercedes-AMG GT3 of CP Racing.
The Coppa Florio victory was the first outright win in the 24H Series Powered by Hankook for the Emirati team. The GPX Racing Porsche was adorned with retro Targa Florio-inspired Gulf Racing deco, which seemed to inspire the team to sweet success in Sicily, claiming both stages of the historic race, which was last run in 1981.
GPX Racing also has racing pedigree at Dubai Autodrome, as regular challengers of the Hankook 24H Dubai and the NGK UAE ProCar Championship. Founded in 2015 in Dubai, GPX Racing has quickly established itself as a premier team both in the region and overseas.
