DUBAI AUTODROME SEASON OPENER
Two days of motorsport action with six different race series
Dubai, UAE, 15 November 2017: The 2017-2018 motorsport season officially kicks off at Dubai Autodrome on Friday and Saturday (17-18 November) with the TCR International Series Speedfest on the 3.56-kilometre National Circuit.
The worldwide touring car championship, TCR International Series, will headline the race weekend at Dubai Autodrome, with a large grid of over twenty cars expected to compete over two races.
UAE national racing will also feature during the TCR International Series Speedfest, including the popular NGK Racing Series, now in its seventh season. It combines three racing series of six classes into one grid, with GTs, Touring Cars and Clio Cup cars all battling it out together.
The two-wheeled warriors are also back, with the UAE Sportbike Championship set to showcase top riders in the region.
The Radical Middle East Cup returns with a highly competitive field of Le Mans style Radical SR3 race cars, top young talent will contest for a scholarship prize in the Formula Gulf Academy, and the second round of the TRD86 Cup will see the return of the race spec Toyotas.
Track action starts with qualifying at 9am on Friday and racing will conclude by 5pm on Saturday. Public entry into the Dubai Autodrome Grandstand and Race Paddock is free.
