Dubai, UAE, 6 December 2020: British racer Ian Roberts (#7) delivered inspiring drives on Friday (4 December) at Dubai Autodrome to seize two victories from Alex Khateeb (#0) in the second round of the Gulf Radical Cup.
Roberts struggled early on, securing P5 and P2 in the two qualifying sessions, while the Radical SR3 of Khateeb was in full force, topping both qualifying showdowns while clocking in a best lap time of 2:02.615 on the 5.39-kilometre Grand Prix Circuit, the only driver to dip below two minutes and three seconds.

The light blue Leyton House machine also got the better start in Race One, taking the lead, while the white with blue-striped chassis of Roberts got spun out on the first corner of the opening lap. Despite getting dropped to the back of the pack, veteran racer Roberts managed to claw his way back into the 45-minute contest and chase down Khateeb.

Following a 10-second penalty on the #0 car, Ian Roberts nosed ahead of Alex Khateeb by just 0.156 seconds to claim Race One and then set out to repeat the feat in the next race. Khateeb led the way for most of second encounter but Roberts managed to sneak up and wrestle back the lead, taking the chequered flag by a five-second margin at the line.
