Dubai, UAE, 18 October 2019: After seven hours and 335 laps of formidable endurance racing, Bin Drai Karting Team is still in control of the contest that is a must-win situation for the squad.
After losing out for the last two rounds to Pro rivals Emirates Racing, drivers Duarte Lopes, Andre Caido and Miguel Neto of Bin Drai Karting Team appeared to have found an extra gear for Round Three of the Dubai Kartdrome Endurance Championship Powered by MSW. Bin Drai is in command over LD Russia by almost three laps.
Meanwhile Emirates Racing, with drivers Arjun Manjunath, Romaldo Labrooy and Ramez Azzam, has appeared to lose a gear and tumble down from second on the grid all the way to tenth place.
Another squad from the Emirates Group Karting Club (EGKC), Team Emirates, with drivers Jiby Kuriakose, Hugo de Frutos Maeso and Mohd Zubair, has instead picked up the challenge and is currently in third, giving chase to the frontrunners.
Bin Drai Karting Team leads both the Pro and Nations Cup categories, and LD Russia, with drivers Dmitry Levin, Konstantin Mandrikov and Victor Agafanov, is locked in a tight contest with Team Emirates for Corporate honours.
Pit stop strategy will now be critical as the race continues into the night. Defending Pro Champion Bin Drai Karting Team has the experience to get it right, but LD Russia, Team Emirates and Cambridge Middle East Interiors will be looking to exploit any mistake.
