Dubai, UAE, 15 February 2021: Julien Andlauer, Axcil Jefferies and Alain Ferte of Dubai-based GPX Racing (#40) put Saturday’s calamitous loss in the final minutes of Race One behind them and bounced back in Race Two of the Asian Le Mans Series on Sunday (14 February) to win the GT Class at Dubai Autodrome.

The GPX Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R held steady on the second try, managing to hold off the Ferrari 488 GT3 of Rinaldi Racing (#55) at the line to finally take a class win on its home circuit.

The front of the grid was all black and orange, as the #26 G-Drive Racing Aurus 01, piloted by Rene Binder, Yifei Ye and Ferdinand Habsburg took its second overall victory in a row to solidify the team’s standings at the top of the 2021 LMP2 championship. At the finish line, the #25 sister car of G-Drive was another 45.459 seconds back to claim P2 overall.

The United Autosports Ligier JS P320 (#23) of Rory Penttinen, Wayne Boyd and Manuel Maldonado also enjoyed another fine run, rolling in at seventh overall and winning its second LMP3 Class trophy for the weekend.
