Dubai, UAE, 9 December 2019: Khalifa Al Qubaisi and Daniel Alves of VDR Racing continue to display great form in their quest to defend the ESKC Senior Nomad Cup title, seizing the overall win in Round Two of the 2019-2020 Emirates Schools Karting Championship (ESKC) at Dubai Kartdrome on Monday night (9 December) and racking up another Nomad class victory.

Enzo Al Azhari and Hakon Lees of Swiss Dubai Team placed third overall and claimed their first ESKC category triumph of the season, beating out arch rival Jumeirah College Team 1.

VDR Racing had the contest under control from start to finish, with Al Qubaisi taking pole position in qualifying and fastest lap of the race (1:14.305), and Alves finishing the job by crossing the line a full 52.563 seconds ahead of Ghost Racing Team 1 to earn the overall win and take command of the Nomad Cup title race.

Al Azhari and Lees of Swiss Dubai Team bounced back from a humble tenth-place finish in qualifying to rip up the field in the 75-minute endurance race and challenge the frontrunners. Swiss Dubai Team improved from its fourth-place overall finish in Round One to take it up a notch and secure third for Round Two but, more importantly, it came out well ahead of ESKC title contenders Jumeirah College Team 1 and GEMS Metropole Motorcity.

Round Three of the Senior championship will take place on Monday, 27 January 2020 at Dubai Kartdrome.
