Batelco Racing Holding Off CG Racing Pro
Dubai, UAE, 28 April 2017: After the first 145 laps of 600 total, Batelco Racing is clinging on to a narrow 12.320 seconds lead over CG Racing Pro.
Batelco Racing won Round One of the Dubai Kartdrome Endurance Championship and so far they have managed to hold off their rivals in Round Two. A total of 29 teams lined up for the famous Le Mans style running start on the Switchback Circuit at the Dubai Kartdrome.
Ramez Azzam topped qualifying screens with a blazing lap time of 1:10.620 to put Batelco Racing in front for the start. He was also delegated as the first driver for the team.
CG Racing Pro got the jump on the pole sitter on the opening lap, but it only took a few trips around the track for Azzam to regain the lead for Batelco.
Batelco Racing currently tops the Pro Class, with CG Racing Pro and Bin Drai Karting Team both hot on the trail.
In the Corporate Category, CG Racing 1 and CG Racing 2 have managed a one-two punch to advance over Round One winners, Team Emirates.
All-Emirati and former 2015 Champion, Dubai Falcon Racing Team, is currently running fourth overall but is in firmly in control of the Nations Cup sub-category. However, the Indian squad of ZOOM Racing Team is closing in.
