2018-2019 Dubai Bambino Cup: Final Championship Round

Dubai, UAE, 11 May 2019:  Omani kart sensation Shonal Kunimal won the fifth and final round of the Dubai Bambino Cup on Saturday at Dubai Kartdrome to finish a perfect season and claim the 2018-2019 championship over Anthony Joe Khalil by 31 points.

Since October of 2018, Kunimal has withstood challenge after challenge, but following five rounds he remained undefeated to the last to take his first Bambino Cup crown. On Saturday Kunimal won three out of four time-trials to secure the final round.

Dubai Kartdrome Manager David Bright remarked, “Congratulations to Shonal for winning the championship; he has a promising future in racing.”

“Also congratulations to all of the young drivers who competed and the parents who came out to support.  Keep an eye on these upcoming racing stars!”
