2020 Hankook 24H Dubai Preview

Dubai, UAE, 6 January 2020:  A spectacular mix of GTs, Touring Cars and 24H Dubai Specials, up to 80 race cars in total, is set to tour MotorCity on Wednesday (8 January) evening to officially commence event activities for the 15th edition of the Hankook 24H Dubai (9, 10, 11 January) at Dubai Autodrome.

The Supercar Parade will depart from Dubai Autodrome on 17:00 on Wednesday and proceed into MotorCity.  There is a scheduled stop at First Avenue Mall for race fans to take photos and get driver autographs.  In addition to obtaining the ideal race souvenir, signed autograph cards can also be presented at the nearby Indoor Kartdrome to receive 25% off an indoor karting session.

2020 Hankook 24H Dubai
Teams from around the globe are assembling in Dubai to prepare for qualifying on the 5.39-kilometere Grand Prix circuit configuration at Dubai Autodrome on Thursday (9 January).

The Audi R8 LMS of Car Collection Motorsport (#88), with drivers Rik Breukers, Christopher Haase, Mike-David Ortmann, Dimitri Parhofer and Markus Winkelhock, has returned to Dubai to defend its 2019 victory.

Local driving ace, Khaled Al Qubaisi, with pair of 24H Dubai wins of his own (2012,2013), leads the Black Falcon Mercedes-AMG GT3 (#4), with teammates Hubert Haupt, Ben Barker, Manuel Metzger and Jeroen Bleekemolen, to try and stop the Audi R8 from claiming another triumph.

Regional teams like MS7 by WRT (Saudi Arabia), GPX Racing (UAE), Atech Racing (UAE) and Dragon Racing (UAE) will be competing against some of best endurance teams from around the world.

Up to 80 race cars are expected to fill the start grid on Friday (10 January) and the main race will roar into action at 15.00.  After 24 hours of fierce track battles, the winners will be crowned during the famous 24H Dubai Camel Procession on Saturday (11 January).

Entry into the Grandstand and Race Paddock is free for spectators, offering a unique first-hand experience with one of the largest endurance races in the world.  Two fan zones will offer car displays, activities, food trucks and race merchandise.
